Buildcraft
http://thetekkit.wikia.com/wiki/Category:BuildCraft
Buildcraft lets the average minecraftian move and devour many more blocks then what would be possible with just a shovel and pic axe. Build pumps, engines, quarrys, auto crafting tables, etc. Buildcraft runs off of MJ energy made from powering engines.
Equivalent Exchange 3
http://feed-the-beast.wikia.com/wiki/Equivalent_Exchange_3
Equivalent exchange 3 is diffrent then the old EE2. Still in beta this awesome mod pack lets you convert bottom tier items (dirt, cobble, stone, etc.) to top tier items like diamonds.

http://wiki.industrial-craft.net/index.php?title=Main_Page
Industrialcraft lets you double your ore output, generate electricity for other mod packs, generate electricity for your own industrialcraft macerators, electric furnaces, compressors, canning machines, etc. Industrialcraft runs off of EU energy made from any tier Generator.
Redpower
http://technicpack.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Redpower

Mystcraft
http://feed-the-beast.wikia.com/wiki/Mystcraft
