How to Download & Run Feed The Beast
Step One:
Go to Feed The Beast's website (here) Then download their client. The client will look like this:

The top of the picture shows the command console that will show mod information being loaded during game launch. This will give errors on certain mods but don't be discouraged, I've had line after line come up red and all the mods still loaded correctly.
The bottom of the picture shows the launcher window. This is where you the user chooses what mod pack to download and install (no work required).

Make sure the "FTB Ultimate Pack V1.1.2 minecraft version 1.4.7" is highlighted and then click launch to start minecraft. Once you click launch the client looks for the mod pack and if the file is missing or outdated it will begin a download to acquire the latest mod pack.
Step Three:
Click Edit ModPack The button is right above the list of Mods.

Find "GregTech" and click it to select it. Then click Disable. Go back to Launch menu.

Sit back and click the minecraft launch button. Then Click Multiplayer and add the server IP to the ip box. Click Join and allow 3 minutes for server to wake up if server is sleeping.
